Oaxaca-Palestine

On January 3 there was a solidarity march in Oaxaca for Palestine. They marched through town and ended up in front of the U.S. consul's office (on the main tourist drag), which was appropriately decorated with statements such as "Palestine, you're not alone" and "End the genocide against the Palestinian people." Probably due to the high profile locale, the police aggressively attacked the march and arrested 19 people. Fortunately, due to the efforts of the Section 22 teachers' union, all 19 were released later in the day, though I'm not sure if it was bail or dropped charges. As you probably already know, the Digna Rabia Festival and the EZLN have also denounced the massacre in Gaza.
